After moving to Philadelphia from the Midwest to start a new job, it took several months of househunting before finding a place. Anam Cara provided a wonderful temporary home during that time. The apartment met all my needs at a much more affordable price than an extended stay hotel.Shops, restaurants, post office and other conveniences can all be walked to while enjoying the beautiful Chestnut Hill neighborhood. A one-block walk to the train station provided me with the easiest commute of my career!

Teresa and the Anam Cara team were immediately responsive to any requests that I had. The friendly environment they create seems to rub off on their guests, who were all friendly and considerate. When it was time to move into a permanent home, I was sad to leave as I felt I was leaving friends behind.

We just stayed in the new 2-bedroom apartment for a week, and we find the apartment very nice and comfortable. We came all the way from Denmark, and for us it is of great importance, that we can relax, and be comfortable during our visit, as we visit the IAHP Institutes with our brain injured child. We enjoyed the fine opportunities for laundry, and found the very large kitchen so nice. It is an apartment which really matches a family’s needs. We already booked the apartment for next year!

As a business traveler, I appreciate the stress-free atmosphere at the Anam Cara Accommodations. Reservations are available online and no crowds at check in. I love the cozy rooms with comfortable beds. When traveling in the Philadelphia area, I always return to Anam Cara for peace of mind, knowing that I will have a relaxing stay.

I make it a point to stay at Anam Cara when I travel to Philadelphia for business or with my family. The accommodations are terrific and Teresa is a gem. It's feels like staying with friends and certainly beats the impersonal service of a hotel. As well, the Chestnut Hill location can't be beat for restaurants and shopping and genuine old town feel. If I ever have an occasion for an extended stay in Philadelphia, I will definitely take advantage of the extended stay facilities.

I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for providing me with a home away from home in Philadelphia. I have traveled on business for many years, and I find hotels and eating out at restaurants alone to be very tiresome for trips longer than a few days. My apartment in Chestnut hill was very comfortable and so much homier than a hotel could ever be. The location is great, a pleasant walk to many restaurants, the train station to downtown Philadelphia, the supermarket, and video rental. It is so much nicer and healthier on longer trips to be able to eat meals comfortably at home, and without giving up the convenience of cleaning service. I will stay in my comfortable apartment over a hotel every time.

What a great area! It has a good “neighborhood” feeling with the family grocery stores, the bakeries and farmers' market. Go see the Morris Arboretum and Woodmere Art Museum. The trains are a good way to get downtown to Philly to sightsee. The Solaris Grill and Flying Fish Restaurants are both good eating spots and breakfast here is the best!
